Traveling to Southwest Florida? Bring your favorite instrument along! Leave your family at the beach for a few hours and step into the shop at Reflection Guitars. Whether you're here for the white sand or a winter escape, you can return home refreshed and with a perfectly dialed-in guitar along with the skills to maintain it yourself.

Reflection Guitars is conveniently located in beautiful Bonita Springs, just minutes from the beach and tons of family-friendly fun.

The Reflection Guitars Experience

Unlike crowded, multi-student luthiery schools, our garage-based workshop is strictly one-on-one. When you book a class, the shop is yours.​

  • Private, Dedicated Bench Time: You get Josh’s 100% undivided attention for the entire class. No competing for the teacher’s eye.

  • Hands-On Learning: You won't just watch a demonstration. You will hold the tools, make the adjustments, and build the muscle memory yourself.

  • Tailored to Your Exact Instrument: You’ll learn the mechanics, quirks, and geometry that makes your personal acoustic or electric guitar unique.

Flying in? Southwest Florida is incredibly flight-friendly for musicians. Double check to be sure, but most major airlines allow you to bring a guitar as a carry-on item in the overhead bin (make sure you protect it in a hard case).

Prefer not to travel with your instrument? No problem - let us know in advance, and we will happily provide a shop guitar for you to practice on during your class!

Dive into Our Local Music Scene

You don't have to leave your love for music at the workshop doors. Bonita Springs and the surrounding area boast a vibrant, close-knit music community. Catch some incredible live acts or bring your newly-dialed in instrument to jump into a local jam session while you're in town.​​​

  • Sugarshack Downtown: Born right here in a Bonita Springs backyard, the world-famous Sugarshack Sessions has grown into a massive digital music phenomenon. Their brick-and-mortar venue is literally right around the corner from our shop. It features a restaurant, a great outdoor vibe, and incredible live acoustic, roots, and rock music on the stage seven days a week.

  • Legendary Local Jams at North Naples Country Club & Irish Times:  The North Naples Country Club and Irish Times are two high-energy local bars just a short drive from the shop. Known for their unpretentious, down-to-earth atmospheres and great pub food, both venues host fantastic local bands and weekly live open jam nights with a full backline (Tuesdays 7-10pm at Irish Times & Wednesdays 8:30-11:30pm at NNCC). It’s the perfect, welcoming spot to grab a cold drink and meet fellow local players!​​

Plan Your "Guitar & Getaway" Trip

Turn your shop time into a true vacation. Bonita Springs is a hidden gem on the Gulf Coast. While you're at the bench mastering your craft, there is plenty for you (and your family!) to explore.​​​

​

  • Airport: RSW (Southwest Florida International) is located just 25 minutes north of the workshop. Extremely easy to navigate and flight-friendly.

When to Visit: Choosing Your Season

Because we are located in a highly sought-after vacation destination, when you book your workshop bench can change the vibe (and the budget) of your trip:​​​

​

  • Peak Season (January–April): The weather is absolutely flawless, 75°F and sunny every single day. The trade-off? It is incredibly busy. Accommodations are significantly more expensive, traffic can be a nightmare, and dinner reservations or tee times require planning ahead. If you want a lively, bustling escape from the winter cold, this is your time.

  • The "Sweet Spot" Shoulder Months (May & October–December): You still get great beach weather, but the dense crowds have cleared out. Hotel rates drop, restaurant wait times disappear, and flights into RSW are much cheaper.

  • Off-Season (June–September): It gets warm and tropical down here, but you'll get the absolute lowest rates on accommodations. If you want a peaceful, uncrowded getaway where you can truly slow down and take better advantage of everything Bonita Springs has to offer, booking a summer masterclass is a fantastic option.
